Do not eat R. L. Zeigler spicy sausages

R. L. Zeigler Co., Inc. is recalling approximately 11,664 pounds of ready-to-eat spicy chicken and pork sausages because they may contain metal fragments. The sausages were produced on November 29, 2018, and distributed nationwide. The company discovered the problem after receiving consumer complaints in mid and late December 2018.

  • Check your freezer and refrigerator for Zeigler spicy sausage packages dated "Use Before January 24, 2019" with establishment number "EST. P-9156S"
  • Do not eat these products
  • Throw away the sausages or return them to the store where you bought them
  • Call your doctor if you have swallowed metal or have concerns about your health
