Rustico Foods packaged soup recalled for lack of federal inspection

Do not eat Rustico Foods soup products

Rustico Foods in Los Angeles recalled about 2,659 pounds of ready-to-eat packaged soup products that were made without required federal inspection. The soups—including Chicken Matzo Ball, Turkey Chili with Beans, and Chicken Vegetable—were produced between September 24 and October 21, 2015. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your home for Rustico Foods soup with establishment number P-45180 on the USDA inspection seal
  • Look for lot numbers between #2662015 and #2942015 and "Best By" dates from 10/21/2015 to 11/18/15
  • Do not eat these products—throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them
  • Call your doctor if you have symptoms of foodborne illness (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever)
