Do not eat frozen striped pangasius maws
The USDA discovered frozen striped pangasius (catfish) products illegally imported from China that were never inspected or certified for U.S. sale. These products lack required labeling and establishment information, making them unsafe to eat. They were found in retail and wholesale locations in New York, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania.
- Do not eat these products if you have them at home.
- Throw away the product by double-bagging it to prevent animals from accessing it.
- If you have questions, call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854.
