Trader Joe's frozen chicken products recalled for lack of import inspection
Discard Trader Joe's butter chicken and samosas
Trader Joe's Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Mini Chicken Tikka Samosas were imported without the required U.S. food safety reinspection. The affected products were produced in April 2022 and sold at Trader Joe's locations in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. No illnesses have been reported, but the USDA is concerned some packages may still be in home freezers.
- Check your freezer for Butter Chicken (12.5 oz, best by April 14 or 16, 2023) or Samosas (8.5 oz, best by April 14, 2023)
- Do not eat these products
- Throw them away or return them to Trader Joe's
- Call USDA at 888-674-6854 if you have questions or symptoms after eating them
