Throw out Don Panchito rendered pork fat

Don Panchito brand rendered pork fat (manteca) was produced and sold without required federal food safety inspection. The 1.8-lb. plastic containers were made between November 2021 and April 2022 and shipped to New York. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Do not eat this product if you have it at home.
  • Throw away any Don Panchito rendered pork fat you own, or return it to where you bought it.
  • Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET) if you have questions.
  • Contact a doctor if you or anyone in your household becomes ill after eating this product.
