Argentina Brand, Purefoods, Chunkee corned beef and Lady's Choice chicken spread recalled for illegal Philippines import
Do not eat these corned beef and chicken spread cans
Several brands of canned corned beef and chicken spread were illegally imported from the Philippines and sold in nine U.S. states. The Philippines is not approved to export meat and poultry to the United States. These products have not been inspected or approved by U.S. food safety authorities.
- Do not eat or serve these products: Argentina Brand, Purefoods, Chunkee corned beef (various sizes), or Lady's Choice Chicken Spread.
- Throw away the product in a double bag to prevent animals from accessing it.
- Do not return it to the store.
- Call your doctor if you or anyone in your household becomes ill after eating these products.
