Do not eat Citterio salame sticks
Citterio Premium Italian-Style Salame Sticks produced by Euro Foods may contain Salmonella bacteria. The CDC linked 21 illnesses across eight states to these products. Affected packages have "best by" dates up to January 23, 2022, and bear establishment number EST. 4010.
- Do not eat these salame sticks if you have them.
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it.
- Contact your doctor if you develop diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or fever within 6 days of eating the product.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 (10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday) with questions.
