Mortadella bologna from Ecuador recalled for illegal import and lack of inspection
Do not eat Mortadela ESPECIAL BOLOGNIA
Frozen pork mortadella products labeled "Mortadela ESPECIAL BOLOGNIA" were illegally imported from Ecuador and do not bear a USDA inspection mark. These products were shipped to stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat this product if you have it.
- Throw away any Mortadela ESPECIAL BOLOGNIA packages or return them to where you bought them.
- Call your doctor if you or a family member becomes ill after eating this product.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 with questions.
