Raw goat meat products recalled for lack of federal inspection

Do not eat raw goat meat from Texas processor

Raw goat meat products (carcasses, livers, kidneys, and hearts) were slaughtered without federal food safety inspection by Texas Livestock and Halal Meat Processors in Houston between November and December 2020. These products were sold at World Foods Warehouse in Houston. Although the products are believed to no longer be available for purchase, USDA is concerned some may remain in home freezers.

• Do not eat any raw goat meat products purchased from World Foods Warehouse in Houston during late 2020
• Throw away any such products or return them to the store
• Contact your doctor if you have consumed this meat and feel sick
