Breaded chicken products from VU Foods recalled for production without inspection
Do not serve breaded chicken from VU Foods
VU Foods, LLC produced breaded chicken products without USDA inspection, making them unfit for human consumption. The products were distributed to restaurants under brand names like Select Cut and KIKKA, and were labeled for restaurant use only. Missouri authorities discovered the violation and FSIS has detained the products.
- If you operate a restaurant, check for products with establishment number P-45038 or labels from Tact Foodservice or US Foods
- Do not serve or use any affected breaded chicken products
- Contact your food distributor immediately if you received these items
