Throw out Caito Foods salads and wraps
Caito Foods LLC recalled beef, pork, and poultry salad and wrap products produced July 15–18, 2018, because the chopped romaine lettuce used in them may be contaminated with cyclospora, a parasite that causes intestinal illness. The products were distributed nationwide and may still be in home refrigerators.
- Do not eat these products if you purchased them between July 18–23, 2018 (the Best By or Sell By date range).
- Throw away the products or return them to where you bought them.
- Look for establishment number EST. 39985 or P-39985 on the package to confirm it is a recalled item.
- Contact a doctor if you develop diarrhea, nausea, or stomach cramps within two weeks of eating these products.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET) with food safety questions.
