Aspen Foods stuffed chicken products recalled for Salmonella contamination

Throw out Aspen Foods stuffed chicken products

Frozen, raw, stuffed chicken products made by Aspen Foods between July 30 and September 17, 2015 may be contaminated with Salmonella. The USDA found the same harmful bacteria strain in multiple samples at the facility. These products may be labeled as chicken cordon bleu, chicken Kiev, or chicken broccoli and cheese under various brand names.

  • Do not eat these products even if cooked to the recommended temperature
  • Throw away any frozen stuffed chicken from Aspen Foods (establishment number P-1358) or return to the store
  • Wash hands, cutting boards, and utensils with soap and water after handling raw poultry
  • Keep raw chicken separate from other foods to prevent cross-contamination
