Head USA ski boots recalled for shell deterioration and fall hazard

Stop using Head USA ski boots immediately
Head USA ski boots from 2015–2022 with fluorescent yellow shells or soles can deteriorate and break during use, creating a serious fall risk. The company has identified specific model numbers and article codes affected by this defect. No injuries have been reported, but the boots pose a hazard if worn.
- Check your Head ski boots' article code (a 6-digit number on the heel inside the left boot)
- Compare it to the recall charts at Head USA's website or contact Head directly
- Stop using recalled boots immediately
- Contact Head USA or an authorized retailer to arrange a free replacement or repair

Hazard
The fluorescent yellow materials of the boot shell and sole inserts can deteriorate and break, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled ski boots immediately and contact Head USA or a Head authorized retailer. For recalled boots with fluorescent boot shell materials, Head will provide free replacement boots in a newer equivalent model upon return of the recalled boots. For recalled boots with yellow sole inserts, Head will provide free replacement sole inserts, which can be installed by the consumer or by a ski shop.
