Acer AES015 electric scooter recall: loose screw hazard
A loose screw on Acer AES015 folding electric scooters can cause the front tube to collapse unexpectedly while riding, creating a fall risk. About 510 scooters sold in the U.S. between June 2023 and February 2026 are affected. One fall with minor injuries was reported outside the U.S.
- Stop using the scooter immediately if you own an AES015 model (check the label on the front tube)
- Visit https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/alerts-recalls to request free repair tools and tightening instructions
- Tighten the screw on the front tube before using the scooter again
Hazard
A loose screw can cause the front tube to fold down unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury from a fall hazard.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled folding electric scooter immediately and contact Acer at https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/alerts-recalls for instructions on how to tighten the screw. Free repair tools will be available to consumers upon request.

Online at Acer.com, Amazon.com and in stores at BrandMart from between June 2023 and February 2026 for between $245 and $70.

None reported in the United States (and one report of the tube folding down resulting in a fall and minor abrasions internationally).
