MiniWarGaming and Primal Horizon disc magnets recalled for ingestion hazard to children
MiniWarGaming and Primal Horizon disc magnets recalled for ingestion risk
These small disc magnets are too powerful and too small, violating federal safety rules. If swallowed, multiple magnets can attract each other inside the stomach and intestines, causing perforations, blockages, and serious internal injury or death.
- Stop letting children access these magnets immediately.
- Check your hobby supplies for MiniWarGaming or Primal Horizon disc magnets matching the product codes on the CPSC website.
- Contact MiniWarGaming for a prepaid shipping label and return the magnets for a full refund.
- If a child has swallowed magnets, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency care right away.

The magnets violate the mandatory safety standard for magnets because the high-powered magnets fit within CPSC's small parts cylinder and are stronger than permitted, posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
