ASP Global's Expressaire sterile disposable tourniquet cuffs manufactured between September 2016 and March 2023 were labeled with a 10-year shelf life, but the actual validated shelf life is 5 years. This means some cuffs in use may have passed their true expiration date.
- Check the manufacture date on any Expressaire tourniquet cuffs (Model 564019, orange, 26" x 6") in your facility.
- Do not use cuffs manufactured before September 2021 (5 years from September 2016).
- Contact your supplier or ASP Global for instructions on replacement or disposal.
- Review inventory records to identify affected lots.
