ASP Global's MPR disposable tourniquet cuff (model DT-7218-02Q) was labeled with a 10-year shelf life, but the actual validated shelf life is 5 years. Products manufactured between September 2016 and March 2023 are affected. Using expired or out-of-specification cuffs during surgery could compromise sterility and device performance.
- Check the lot code on your MPR tourniquet cuffs; affected lots are S0922STY, S1101STY, R1201STY, Q1115STY, P1015STY, and N0530STY.
- Do not use cuffs manufactured more than 5 years before the date of surgery.
- Contact ASP Global or your supplier for replacement cuffs or further instructions.
- Report any adverse events or quality issues to the FDA MedWatch program.
