Boston Scientific Direxion Torqueable Microcatheter recalled for coating and manufacturing defects
What this means
Boston Scientific has recalled certain Direxion Torqueable Microcatheters due to manufacturing defects. The hydrophilic coating on the outer surface of the distal segment may not have been properly cured, and some nitinol sleeves have raised ridges from laser cutting misalignment. These defects could affect device performance during medical procedures.
- If you have one of the affected batch numbers (37914476, 38629575, 38650015, 38687321, 39029882, 39029883, 40466020, 40466021, 40466135, 40507481, 40510684, 40539451), do not use it.
