Check your Philips MX40 patient monitor
Philips MX40 patient monitors may lose wireless connection to the PIC iX central station when moving between certain access points if the signal strength changes rapidly. This could interrupt patient data transmission to clinical staff.
- Identify your device: check if you have a Philips MX40 (Model 867216) patient monitor
- Contact Philips or your healthcare facility's biomedical team for a firmware update or replacement
- Continue using the monitor—do not discontinue patient monitoring without clinical guidance
- Report any connection issues to your facility immediately
Hazard
It was found that the MX40 device could not reconnect to the PIC iX when moving between Radiohead and Trident 1.4 GHz access points if the signal strength changed quickly.
