Handy Solutions Neck & Shoulders Heating Pad recalled for burn hazard when folded
Stop using Handy Solutions heating pad model 25607
The Handy Solutions Neck & Shoulders Heating Pad (model 25607) can overheat and cause burns if folded while in use or placed under your body. When folded, the device's safety temperature sensor cannot detect the excessive heat, so it does not shut off. The pad may emit a burning smell before melting or catching fire.
- Stop using the heating pad immediately.
- Do not fold or place the pad under your body while in use.
- Unplug and safely dispose of the pad.
- Contact Navajo Manufacturing Company or the retailer where you purchased it for a refund or replacement.
If heating pad is folded while in use, the power density increases in the folded area causing excessive temperatures, which can also be caused by placing pad under the body, then the high limit device is unable to sense the higher temperature so power is not terminated. May cause a burning smell prior to melting/burning potentially causing burns to persons and property.
