Novapproach Spine OneLIF cage recalled for inserter attachment issue

The straight inserter tool on certain OneLIF Interbody Cage implants may fail to attach properly to the cage. This could prevent secure engagement during spinal fusion surgery, potentially causing procedural delays or requiring surgeons to choose a different implant.

  • If you have received one of these implants or your surgeon has these kits in inventory, contact Novapproach Spine immediately for guidance.
  • Surgeons should verify the inserter attachment before beginning procedures with affected lot numbers.
  • Review the specific lot numbers provided in the FDA notice to confirm if your implant is affected.
Hazard

Intervertebral body fusion system straight inserter failed to properly attach to affected cages, which may result in an inability to securely engage the implant with the inserter, which could lead to procedural delay and/or the need to select an alternative implant.
