Bard Access Systems is recalling three models of thoracentesis and paracentesis drainage trays because the lidocaine ampoules included in these kits were manufactured under deficient manufacturing practices. The affected trays are used to remove fluid from the chest or abdominal cavity during medical procedures.

  • Check if your facility received any trays with lot numbers REKY3402, REKY3397, or REKY3386.
  • Do not use the affected trays; contact Bard Access Systems for instructions on return or replacement.
  • Alert your procurement and clinical teams immediately.
