Stop eating Belevini BICHKI dried smelts
Belevini BICHKI dried salted whole smelts may contain Clostridium botulinum, a bacteria that causes a serious illness called botulism. The fish was not properly cleaned before drying and salting, which allowed the bacteria to grow. This product was distributed to New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida.
- Do not eat this product if you have it.
- Throw away or return any Belevini BICHKI dried smelts with product number LL0321 or barcode 0754684899008.
- Contact your doctor right away if you have weakness, blurred vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, or muscle paralysis after eating this product.
