Ayco fresh cantaloupe recalled for potential Salmonella contamination
Don't eat Ayco fresh cantaloupe
Ayco Farms cantaloupe may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause serious foodborne illness. The affected melons were distributed to Pennsylvania, Florida, California, and New York. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Check if you have Ayco cantaloupe with one of the affected lot numbers (GC26257–GC26328, SCX2601–SCX2633, or SGC2601–SGC2607)
- Do not eat, serve, or distribute the recalled melons
- Throw away affected cantaloupe or return it to the store
- Wash your hands, cutting boards, and utensils if you handled the melon
