Target Up & Up baby wipes recalled for bacterial contamination
Target is recalling Up & Up Fragrance Free and Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes after FDA testing found harmful bacteria (Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli) in product samples. Some customers also reported discoloration. These bacteria can cause serious infections, especially in newborns and infants with developing immune systems.
- Stop using the recalled wipes immediately if you have them.
- Return the wipes to any Target store for a full refund.
- Check the manufacturing and expiration date codes on your package against the recall list.
- Contact Target Guest Relations at 1-800-440-0680 (7 a.m.–10 p.m. CT daily) if you have questions or believe your child was affected.
