Britax child seats recalled for carrying handle detachment risk

What this means

A screw in the carrying handle of certain Britax child seats (B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours models) may loosen and cause the handle to partially detach. If the handle detaches while a child is being carried, the child could fall.

  • Check if your Britax child seat is one of the recalled models listed above.
  • Do not use the seat if the handle appears loose or damaged.
  • Contact Britax customer service at 888-427-4829 for more information.
  • Look for an owner notification letter by October 19, 2026 with repair instructions.
