What this means
Bell Sports is recalling certain Pit Boss motorcycle helmets, size medium, manufactured between January 1 and January 31, 2026. These helmets may lack proper impact protection and do not meet federal safety standards, which increases the risk of head injury in a crash.
- Stop using the helmet if you own a size-medium Pit Boss helmet manufactured in January 2025–2026.
- Contact Bell Sports customer service at 1-800-216-9446 to arrange a free replacement or reimbursement.
- Look for a recall notification letter in the mail starting September 7, 2026.
The agency's original wording

Bell will replace the helmet or reimburse owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 7, 2026. Owners may contact Bell's customer service at 1-800-216-9446.
