2025–2026 Ram 1500 recalled for rearview camera display failure
What this means
A software error in the radio may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying on certain 2025–2026 Ram 1500 trucks. Without a visible rearview image, drivers have reduced visibility behind the vehicle, which increases crash risk.
- Check if your 2025–2026 Ram 1500 is affected by searching your VIN on NHTSA.gov starting September 9, 2026.
- Chrysler will fix the radio software for free via over-the-air update or at a dealer.
- Owner notification letters will be mailed starting September 24, 2026.
- Contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 or reference recall number 83D with any questions.
