Toyota 2026 C-HR EV recalled for software error causing loss of drive power

A software error in the battery management system of certain 2026 Toyota C-HR electric vehicles can cause the battery to overcharge under specific driving conditions. This overcharge can shut down the drive system, leaving the vehicle without power and increasing crash risk.
