Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4, and 4Runner recalled for incorrect load capacity label

Certain 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid, Tundra, RAV4 Hybrid, 4Runner, and 4Runner i-Force Max Hybrid models have an inaccurate load carrying capacity label. This incorrect weight information could lead owners to overload the vehicle, increasing crash risk.
- Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) against the recall list at recalls.toyota.com or NHTSA.gov
- Contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to confirm if your vehicle is affected
- Schedule a dealer appointment to replace the label at no charge; dealer replacement began after October 18, 2026
The agency's original wording
A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the load carrying capacity modification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 18, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 26TA18.
