Can-Am motorcycles recalled for instrument cluster failure risk
What this means
The touchscreen instrument cluster in certain 2024–2027 Can-Am motorcycles may reset, freeze, or go blank, leaving the display unable to show vehicle speed and warning lights. This increases the risk of a crash.
- Check if your Can-Am Origin, Pulse, Canyon, Spyder RT, or Spyder F3 is affected by searching your VIN at NHTSA.gov (starting September 22, 2026).
- Wait for an owner notification letter (expected October 12, 2026) with next steps.
- Contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222 if you have questions.
- Have the instrument cluster software updated at a dealer or over-the-air, free of charge.
The agency's original wording
An inoperative instrument cluster will fail to display critical safety information, such as vehicle speed and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
The instrument cluster software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 12, 2026. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 22, 2026. The manufacturers number for this recall is 2027-2 & 2026-3.
