Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer recalled for roof rack crossbar detachment risk
What this means
Certain 2022–2026 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer L, and Grand Wagoneer L vehicles have roof rack crossbar pivot bolts that may not have been tightened properly during manufacturing. If the bolts loosen, the crossbars can detach and fall onto the road, creating a hazard for other drivers.
- Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov starting September 17, 2026, to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
- Wait for a notification letter from Chrysler (expected October 8, 2026) with instructions.
- Contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 with questions. Dealers will replace the bolts free of charge.
