Micro Bird USA LLC G5e school buses recalled for wiring harness damage risk causing loss of drive power

What this means

Certain 2025–2027 Micro Bird G5e school buses have a wiring harness that may have been routed incorrectly. A metal bracket can contact and damage the harness, which could cause a sudden loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.

  • If you operate or own one of these school buses, contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012 or reference recall number 26-122-HVC.
  • Micro Bird will inspect, replace, and properly secure the wiring harness at no cost.
  • Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on November 10, 2026.
