2026 Ram 1500 recalled for tire pressure monitor system sensor failure
What this means
Certain 2026 Ram 1500 vehicles have tire pressure sensors that may fail to detect low tire pressure or illuminate the warning light. This prevents drivers from being alerted to dangerous tire conditions, increasing crash risk.
- Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov to see if your vehicle is affected.
- Contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403 to schedule a free inspection and sensor replacement.
- Watch for owner notification letters arriving in late October 2026.
The agency's original wording
A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the tire pressure sensors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 27, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 51D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 6, 2026.
