Greenpower EV Star buses recalled for wheelchair lift interlock software error
What this means
Certain Greenpower EV Star and EV Star Mobility Plus buses made between 2018 and 2024 have a software error that may allow the bus to move while a wheelchair lift is deployed. This creates a risk of injury to passengers using the lift.
- Check if you own an affected 2018–2024 Greenpower EV Star or 2020–2023 EV Star Mobility Plus bus.
- Wait for an owner notification letter expected by October 12, 2026.
- Contact Greenpower customer service at 1-909-346-1090 to confirm your vehicle's status or to schedule a free software update.
- Do not operate the wheelchair lift while the bus is in motion until the update is installed.
The agency's original wording
