Airstream Rangeline recreational vehicles recalled for fairing detachment hazard
What this means
Certain 2026–2027 Airstream Rangeline RVs may have a fairing (exterior panel) that can detach due to inadequate adhesion. A detached fairing can fall onto the road and create a hazard for other vehicles.
- Check if you own a 2026–2027 Airstream Rangeline RV.
- Watch for an owner notification letter expected November 27, 2026.
- Contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 (ext. 7401 or 7411) for more information.
- Do not drive the RV until a repair is available if you notice the fairing is loose or damaged.
The agency's original wording
A detached fairing can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy is still under development. Owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Another notice will be sent when the repair is ready. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.
