Elkhorn Valley Packing recalled approximately 3,436 pounds of boneless beef chuck packed on February 16, 2023, because it may contain a harmful strain of E. coli (O103). The contamination was discovered through routine testing. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat or use this product if you have it at home.
- Throw it away or return it to where you bought it.
- Check your freezer for "Angus Beef 61226 BEEF CHUCK 2PC BNLS" with establishment number "EST. M-19549" packed on 2/16/23.
- If you ate this meat, watch for diarrhea, vomiting, or bloody stools within 2–8 days and see a doctor if symptoms appear.
