Pilgrim's Pride chicken nuggets recalled for plastic contamination
Do not eat Pilgrim's Pride chicken nuggets
Pilgrim's Pride recalled about 40,780 pounds of fully cooked breaded chicken nuggets (Gold Kist Farms brand) produced on October 5, 2015, because they may contain small pieces of plastic. The chicken nuggets were distributed to institutional buyers in 12 states. No injuries have been reported.
- Do not eat these chicken nuggets if you have them
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it
- Check packaging codes 5278105021, 5278105022, 5278105023, 5278105000, or 5278105001
- Call your doctor if you or anyone else swallowed plastic
