Throw out Sunset Farm Foods sausage

Sunset Farm Foods is recalling about 4,480 pounds of Georgia Special Chicken and Pork Smoked Sausage produced on June 30, 2022, because thin blue plastic may be embedded in the product. The company discovered the problem after receiving consumer complaints. No injuries have been reported so far.

  • Check your freezer or refrigerator for 28-oz. packages labeled 'Georgia Special Chicken and Pork Smoked Sausage' with a sell-by date of 10-28-22 and establishment number P 9185.
  • Do not eat the product.
  • Throw the sausage away or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Call Sunset Farm Foods at 229-242-2952 if you have questions.
