La Rosita Fresh Market Inc. in Mt. Prospect, Illinois is recalling about 54 pounds of ground beef packaged on March 13–14, 2019, because it may contain E. coli O157:H7 bacteria. The contamination was discovered through routine testing; no illnesses have been reported yet.
- Do not eat ground beef from La Rosita Fresh Market with a "Packed On" date of 3/13/19 or 3/14/19.
- Throw away the product or return it to La Rosita Fresh Market.
- Check your refrigerator or freezer if you shopped there on or before March 14, 2019.
- If you ate this meat and develop bloody diarrhea, severe cramps, or decreased urine output, call your doctor or seek emergency care immediately.
