Empanadas Valrico Inc. produced about 6,247 pounds of frozen beef and chicken empanadas without federal safety inspection between March and September 2022. These products were sold in Florida and do not have the USDA safety mark. No illnesses have been reported, but the empanadas may not meet food safety standards.

  • Do not eat these empanadas if you have them in your freezer
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Check your freezer for 1.6-lb or 4.6-lb bags labeled 'Empanadas Valrico STEAK EMPANADAS' or 'Empanadas Valrico CHICKEN EMPANADAS' with 'BEST BEFORE' dates before January 30, 2023
