Sunset Farm Foods link sausage recalled for undeclared soy allergen

Stop eating Sunset Farm Foods sausage products

Sunset Farm Foods recalled approximately 42,669 pounds of smoked link sausage (Southern Chef Brand and Georgia Maid Brand) because they contain soy protein that is not listed on the label. The affected products were made between September 2014 and January 2015 and sold in six states. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for Southern Chef Brand or Georgia Maid Brand smoked link sausage with a sell-by date between January 1, 2015 and May 28, 2015 and establishment number EST. 9185
  • Do not eat these products if you have a soy allergy
  • Throw away affected packages or return them to the store
  • Contact Sunset Farm Foods at (800) 882-1121 with questions
