La Autentica Foods meat tamales recalled for potential Listeria contamination

Throw out recalled La Autentica tamale products

La Autentica Foods recalled approximately 117,350 pounds of meat tamales sold under the brand names Goya, Quirch Foods, and La Milpa. The products may be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious illness. The tamales were produced between September 2015 and April 2016 and distributed to Florida and New Jersey.

  • Do not eat these tamale products; throw them away or return them to the store
  • Check your freezer for packages with dates between 02/2017–10/2017 and establishment number EST. 11154
  • If you ate these tamales and develop fever, muscle aches, or headache within two months, contact your doctor and mention the recalled product
