Garcia Brand smoked sausage recalled for potential foreign material contamination

Uncle John's Pride LLC is recalling about 139,909 pounds of Garcia Brand and Ema's smoked sausage products produced between March 8 and April 8, 2017. A metal magnet was found in beef trim used to make the sausage, which could mean small metal pieces may be in some packages. No injuries have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for Garcia Brand or Ema's smoked sausage with the establishment number EST. 9179 or P-9179
  • Do not eat these products
  • Throw away affected packages or return them to where you bought them
  • Call your doctor if you have any concerns about illness or injury
