Aurora Packing Company beef products recalled for possible E. coli O157:H7
Stop using Aurora Packing beef products
Aurora Packing Company is recalling about 4,838 pounds of beef chuck tender and heel meat products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 bacteria. The affected products were produced on February 27, 2019, and were shipped for institutional use in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not use recalled beef products—throw them away or return them to the supplier
- Cook all beef to an internal temperature of 165°F using a food thermometer
- Seek emergency care immediately if you experience bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or decreased urination
