Marcho Farms veal and ground meat products recalled for E. coli O157 contamination
Do not eat Marcho Farms veal or ground meat
Marcho Farms, Inc. recalled approximately 5,620 pounds of veal and ground veal, beef, and pork products produced in April 2017 because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157, a harmful bacteria. The products were distributed to stores and restaurants in Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat these products if you purchased them.
- Throw away the affected meat or return it to where you bought it.
- Check your freezer—some product may still be frozen.
- If you ate this meat and develop diarrhea, bloody stools, or severe stomach cramps, seek medical attention right away.
- Cook all ground meat to 160°F (use a meat thermometer to check).
