Del Valle chorizo recalled for lack of federal inspection
Do not eat Del Valle chorizo
Del Valle Import and Export LLC recalled approximately 21,105 pounds of raw pork chorizo (Chorizo Olanchano) produced without federal inspection. The product was made in a home kitchen between October 2021 and October 2023 and sold in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. No illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat this chorizo.
- Look for 14-ounce plastic tubes labeled 'Chorizo Olanchano Mezcla de chorizo Centroamericano' or 'Centroamerican Brand Chorizo Mix.'
- Throw away any of this product you have or return it to the store where you bought it.
- Call USDA at 888-674-6854 with questions about food safety.
