La Guadalupana tamales recalled for undeclared egg allergen

Do not eat La Guadalupana tamales

La Guadalupana Wholesale Co. recalled approximately 35,000 pounds of pork and chicken tamales produced between January and March 2015 because the packages do not declare egg white as an ingredient. The tamales were sold in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for La Guadalupana Hot Pork Tamales or Hot Chicken Tamales in 12.5, 15, or 25 pound boxes
  • Look for establishment number P-21904 or Est. 21904 on the USDA inspection seal
  • Do not eat the tamales if you or anyone eating them has an egg allergy
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where it was purchased
  • Call La Guadalupana Wholesale Co. at (866) 954-3654 with questions
