Lulu Restaurant Group chicken recalled for undeclared sesame allergen

Lulu Restaurant Group is recalling about 621 pounds of fully cooked General Tso's chicken with fried rice because the product contains sesame oil, which is not listed on the label. Sesame is a known allergen that can cause serious reactions in people with allergies. The affected products were produced between October 27 and November 8, 2023, and sold in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

  • Check your freezer or refrigerator for 16-oz plastic trays labeled "SISTER SISTER GENERAL TSO'S CHICKEN with FRIED RICE" with lot codes 11/07/23, 11/11/23, 11/17/23, 11/18/23, or 11/19/23
  • Do not eat this product if you or anyone in your household has a sesame allergy
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it
  • If you have concerns about an allergic reaction, contact your doctor or call 911
