Hy-Vee mealtime beef and chicken products recalled for undeclared milk allergen

Don't eat Hy-Vee mealtime beef and chicken products

Hy-Vee Fresh Commissary recalled about 6,200 pounds of ready-to-eat beef and chicken meals because they contain milk, which is not listed on the label. The affected products were made September 7–8, 2019, and sold in the Midwest. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer or refrigerator for Hy-Vee mealtime products with lot codes 19250 or 19251 and best-by dates of 09/14/19 or 09/15/19.
  • Do not eat these products if you or anyone in your household has a milk allergy.
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Call Hy-Vee customer service at (800) 772-4098 with questions.
